Our Services
Sylvan specialises in low-impact, sustainable woodland management, creation and restoration. Our small team offer a tailored service, from consultancy to practical intervention, to suit the woodlands needs and the clients objectives. Alongside individual operations, we provide a range of services for long-term management, from a detailed season-by-season plan, through to annual woodland maintenance and felling, planting and timber sales operations.
We have a wealth of experience implementing selective felling operations, such as continuous cover forestry, as well as traditional coppicing and fell and replant. We strive to develop local supply chains for wood and timber products in order to maximise income generation and reduce transport miles.
Woodland restoration
Woodland restoration requires a site specific approach that combines the historical, ecological and characteristic features of the woodland, with the objectives of the landowner. We specialise in sustainable woodland management to make them more profitable, more biodiverse and more resilient.
